The magnetic tape recorder KB 100 has been designed to be connected solely to the AC mains and operated on voltages of 110, 127, 155 and 220 volts. It is recommended to switch in the KB 1000 some minutes prior to use to give the tubes sufficient filament power and to permit the oil to distribute uniformly in the bearings. This necessary particularly in the cold season.
KB 100 is also in position to impose additional speech and music on tapes bearing already recordings without erasing them.
A suitable microphone is manufactured by VEB Funkwerk Leipzig.
